Zeinab Bashier participated in the Arab Women Leaders’ Summit at COP28, contributing to discussions on gender equality in climate action, adaptation and resilience.
The summit took place on 4 December 2023 in the COP28 Green Zone, co-hosted by Masdar’s Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) platform. Its theme was “Gender Inclusion and Climate Change: Advancing Equality for a Resilient Future”. Bashier shared her account of the event the following day.
During her participation, she met Dr Hala El Said, Ghada Waly and Princess Lamia bint Majed Al Saud. The accompanying photograph documents their presence at the summit in front of a presentation on gender inclusion and climate change in the Middle East and North Africa.
